General functions:
Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager and the direct supervision of the M & E Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the following:
1.In coordination with the Programme Data and Management Assistant, compile and track data of all IOM Project Activities & reflect in most suitable mapping format.
2.Liaise with other agencies/Governmentf or regular data collection and maintain and up-to-date IOM activity tracking tool. By doing so, also ensure that all relevant stakeholders consulted (government, INGO, UN) are recorded in the IOM contact list.
3.Compile and conduct analysis of primary and secondary data (in house or external research) that will be useful for IOM programmes and project planning activities.
4.Advice program staff and managers, on the best suitable tools and methods for preparation and presentation of analysis and produced maps.
5.Develop maps using GIS and other programs as per availability. Focus on preparing specific Livelihood mapping based on IOM database and relevant information compiled from IOM Project Activity tracking and external actors (Project Activities, Sectors of Intervention, Economic/Industrial activities per region, interactions between data, summaries, and others as requested). Develop other maps for the IOM mission as requested.
6.Propose and or suggest inputs for preparation of database, survey and assessment templates
7.Contribute to the program monitoring of performance indicators and regular reporting systems by preparing data analysis, summary sheets and reports in accordance to program needs. For this he/she will use econometric models, simulations and other research methodology in compliance with PCM, ISO14000 other management and quality generally accepted noffns.
8.In coordination with IT Unit, provide training assistance to program staff in order to increase the capacity on specialized mapping software as GIS 9. Ensure daily activities back up, filing of data and safeguarding of IOM's program activities information in both hard and magnetic versions
9.Manage IOM project tracking matrix and assist in the design of communication data material (Desk Review Bulleting) for stakeholders
10.Perform other duties as assigned.
Desirable qualifications:
University degree in computer science, geospatial engineering or a combination of relevant education and professional experience, particularly in the areas of GIS management, data frames and data analysis. Advance knowledge of MS Excel for data analysis and statistical reporting
A minimum of 2 years experience in the use of MS software web-based and/or clientserver database system implementations a distinctive advantage. Familiarity with IOM andlor UN information management; monitoring and evaluation. Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and hardship conditions, excellent teamwork and communication skills, cross-cultural and gender sensitivity. Able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate high level of initiative, perseverance and professional commitment to achieve high-quality results.
Ability to handle confidential data in a professional, responsible and mature manner. Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

General functions:
Under the overall supervision of the Livelihood Programme Manager and
the direct supervision of the Programme Logistics Coordinator (PLC), the
incumbent will assist the PLC in the implementation of logistics activities within Livelihood Programme, with particular assignments as follow:
1. In coordination with IOM Procurement unit, perform field surveys regarding items will be distributed as program’s assistance package and for asset replacement, including: efficient delivery/distributi on route, vendor ability, and fidelity to beneficiary requirement.
2. In coordination with Training Unit (TU) and or Community Engagement Unit (CEU), conduct socialization amongst communities; ensuring that communities are well informed about the incentive scheme, the calculation, and catalogue usage as reference.
3. Incoordination with other unit, particularly the CEU, assist in distribution and handover process of livelihood assets to beneficiaries.
4. Perform daily logistics supporting activities on field, include meals distribution and maintaining accurate record and updates of incentive points data.
5. Ensuring communities receive assistances packages according to the accurate records produced by the Unit and well coordinated with the related parties.
6. In coordination with TU and CEU, perform logistics support during the programme events, such as asset distribution, training graduation and MSE’s exhibition conducted within areas of implementation or other location.
7. Prepare and ensure that every logistics transaction recorded accurately in a standard IOM document (e.g. Receiving Report, Waybill, Deed of Donation, etc).
8. Ensure that all items and goods delivered to communities in a good quality and respecting the timely manner.
9. Perform other duties as may be assigned
Desirable Qualifications:
Associate degree, preferably University Degree in Social Science, Engineering, or alternatively, a combination of related education and professional experience. Attentio n to detail.Ability to work in a clean accountable and transparent work system and respecting IOM codes of conduct.Willingness to spend amount of time in the field and or the remote area. Computer literate in MS Word and MS Excel, E-mail and other office software. Ability in using Corel is a plus.Able to work in a tight deadline.Honest, flexible, drive for results, respect for diversity, creative thinking, and punctual. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate ability to work effectively in team situations. Fluency in Javanese and or English ability is advantageous. Women are encouraged to apply.

Garuda Di Dadaku
Untuk pertamakalinya saya melihat review film ini, ternyata masih ada sineas indonesia yang perduli dengan tema kebangsaan, setelah sebelumnya laskar pelangi meraih sukses di tahun 2008 mudah-mudahan film ini juga mengikuti jejak laskar pelangi.
Secara singkat film ini bercerita tentang Bayu yang mewarisi bakat ayahnya yang telah meninggal, namun tak mudah untuk Bayu dalam mewujudkan mimpinya. Kakeknya, Usman diperankan Ikranegara menentang cita-cita Bayu. Bagi Usman, pemain sepakbola adalah sesuatu yang tidak memiliki masa depan dan identik dengan kemiskinan. Usman lebih suka cucunya mengikuti berbagai kursus dari mulai matematika hingga melukis.
Kehadiran Heri, teman Bayu yang berkusi roda justru membangkitkan semangat pemeran tokoh utama untuk mewujudkan cita-citanya. Tokoh yang diperankan Aldo Tansani ini meyakinkan Bayu untuk ikut tim nasional usia 13 tahun. Dibantu teman barunya bernama Zahra yang diperankan Marsha Aruan, Bayu pun berusaha mewujudkan mimpinya.
Tidak hanya pemain dalam film ini yang keren, soundtrek film ini pun di dukung oleh beberapa artis ternama salah satunya Netral dengan judul Garuda di dadaku (bisa di download sebagai review)

Peneliti Indonesia Terima Sasaka Award

TEMPO Interaktif, Jenewa: Dr. Eko teguh Peripurno, dosen dan peneliti dari Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Yogyakarta, menerima Sasaka Award, penghargaan bergengsi yang diberikan kepada mereka yang telah berkontribusi dalam upaya mengurangi risiko bencana, di Jenewa, Swiss, hari ini.
Direktur Pusat Penelitian untuk Manajemen Bencana Universitas Pembangunan Nasional itu berhak menerima hadiah uang sebesar US$ 50 ribu atau sekitar Rp 500 juta. Sasakawa Award merupakan penghargaan dari Yayasan Nippon Jepang yang diberikan kepada mereka yang telah berkomitmen untuk mengurangi risiko bencana. Eko memperoleh penghargaan ini berkat upayanya dalam memperkenalkan teknologi tepat guna bagimasyarakat lokal di sekitar Gunung Merapi.
"Penghargaan ini akan saya gunakan untuk membangun kapasitas masyarakat di sekitar Gunung Merapi, supaya mereka mengenal dengan baik gunung tersebut. Ini adalah langkah awal dalam upaya untuk mengurangi risiko bencana," kata Eko dalam pertemuan Global Platform for Disaster Reduction di Jenewa.
Selama ini Eko menjadi konsultan pemerintah, baik lokal maupun nasional, serta terlibat aktif dalam beberapa lembaga swadaya masyarakat dalam penanganan bencana. Dia juga terlibat aktif dalam penanganan pascagempa di Yogyakarta pada 2006--bencana yang menewaskan hampir 6.000 orang.
Eko telah bekerja di bidang manajemen risiko bencana, kebanyakan yang terkait dengan letusan gunung berapi, di Indonesia selama lebih dari 15 tahun. Dia juga berperan langsung dalam pembangunan kapasitas di lebih dari 750 proyek manajemen risiko bencana di 20 provinsi.
